TME uses leading edge technology and constantly reviews current practices and philosophies in its endeavour to ensure that it remains at the forefront of each of its specialist professions.

TME uses leading graphics programs including 3d Studio Viz, Sketchup, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign to produce quality presentations, displays and reports. Maps, plans and engineering drawings are generated by using the industry standard Computed Aided Drafting programs, MicroStation, Autocad and 12d Model.  These programs can import digital data directly from Department of Land Administration, Water Authority of WA, Local Shire Authorities and other consultants. TME has the ‘in-house’ capacity to produce drawings in a range of styles to suit the purpose and requirements of most client needs.

TME’s drafting expertise not only provides support for the three core business elements of Engineering, Town Planning and Project Management but it attracts its own business from external clients.

TME’s multi skilled drafting department conducts a wide variety of work including
•    Detailed subdivision engineering plans
•    Detailed service main and road extensions
•    Plans for private and public clients
•    Black spot project design submissions
•    Pictorial presentation plans
•    Town Planning Schemes, Structure Plans and Subdivision layout
•    Development Application plans
•    Concept plans
•    Detailed trotting track engineering and concept plans
•    3 dimensional models
•    Fly through/drive through animated video’s
•    3 dimensional rendered perspective views.

TME’s drafting and graphics personnel have extensive experience in producing high quality and accurate visual representation of proposed developments.  They have the capacity to collate information and data from various agencies, together with client’s aspirations to produce innovative graphic images and detailed designs.

An ability to drive through the finished design model also aids in client interpretation and understanding of the final modelled solution.  Data exported from the models produced are then also readily used by construction contractors to ensure accurate construction of the designed works. 3D data created in 12D Model can also be further enhanced using Autodesk’s 3D Studio Viz to provide an advanced level of presentation for clients and project managers. Further information about this program can be found at www.12d.com.au

12D

TME utilises 12D Model, a totally Australian product, to undertake digital terrain modelling and detail design for its Civil and Land Development projects. With the 12D model the digital survey data is able to be imported and then converted into a 3 dimensional digital terrain model. All road and earthworks design then occurs in a total 3 dimensional environment.

The finished output from the model can then be readily checked for the interface with the existing terrain and the visual fit to the landscape.  The ease of use and ability to readily assess a number of options for the project enables optimal design solutions to be obtained for design projects.

3D Studio VIZ

TME utilises Autodesk’s 3D Studio VIZ to bring an advanced level of presentation to select design projects. 3D StudioVIZ software is completely interoperable with Autodesk’s AutoCAD platform and 12D Model and allows ready interface and rendering of the AutoCAD design projects. Where assessment of various landscape design options are to be considered, the fully rendered images are able to reduce the assessment time required by Clients and Project Managers and aid in rapid selection and finalisation of the design options. The digital rendered models can also be produced to enable fully rendered drive-throughs to aid in the final marketing of projects. Continual training of TME design staff ensures a high level of competence is maintained and that the full benefits of the modelling packages can be reflected in overall job quality and output.

Bentley Microstation V8

Bentley Microstation V8 is an innovative CAD platform used by teams of architects, engineers, contractors and GIS professionals to integrate work on buildings, civil engineering projects, land developments and geospatial information.

Microstation is used to produce subdivision, land development plans, lot yield calculations, structure and concept plans.  Microstation has the ability to overlay information including aerial photography,  geographical, environmental and social constraints to obtain the best possible outcome for proposed developments.
