Stirling Street Streetscape

TME were engaged by the City of Bunbury to develop a traffic management and streetscape concept design for Stirling Street between Spencer and Victoria Streets.

A theme was developed that featured a watercourse linking Boulter’s Heights to Queens Gardens which included:
• riverside trees on sides of roads
• low plants down median strips
• sculptures of river wildlife
• paving and median to reflect water movement
• water features at key locations
- Sculptures
- Fountains
- Drinking Fountains

Other components of the proposal were traffic flow, pedestrian movements, alfresco dining, parking, the existing war memorial and street lighting.

Bunbury City Council was presented with a design that considered the planned improvements to Boulter’s Heights and also other streetscape and landscaping in and around the city.
