Preston Park Subdivision, Dardanup

TME undertook the planning and engineering for this special rural subdivision in Garvey Road, Dardanup.

Lots in the development ranged from 2.0ha to 4.5ha. Special attention was required in the initial phases to ensure building envelopes could be suitably located to gain clearance over the high water table in the area. The engineering design also had to deal with highly expansive clay soils under road foundations.

Another special requirement was to ensure no increase in flows to the existing Water Corporation drain through the property. A carefully designed series of extended detention basins reduced flowpeaks as well as removing nutrients in the stormwater.
