Jilley - Westgarth Subdivision, Australind
When the old family farm homestead and dairy of the Jilley family was proposed to be subdivided in Australind, the family required a consultant who would be caring and understanding of their needs.
From the demolition of the old family home to the final completion of this 50 lot Special Residential and Special Rural Subdivision, TME ensured that close consultation was maintained at all stages with the family.
The planning for the subdivision was also undertaken by TME and required close integration with a chain of existing wetlands through the site. During the construction phase additional wetlands were incorporated into the design to further enhance the linear POS system that was developed. The limited remaining vegetation on site also required close integration of the landform to the final design so that the amenity of the site could be maximised.
The project was completed on time and for a final price well below the budget. The site was also subject of a tour and inspection by the Institution of Public Works Engineers Australia as an excellent example of linear POS systems and the integration of constructed wetlands with Water Sensitive Urban Design.
