Burekup Village Estate
Particular challenges on the site were the construction of a constructed wetland on a tributary of the Collie River and the very difficult soil conditions encountered during road construction. TME modified the original concept plans for the wetland to incorporate a more Water Sensitive approach to the final design. Improvements were also made to enhance the visual amenity of the project such as removal of a box culvert structure in the design and replacing it with a simple timber bridge over the outlet of the wetland. This was undertaken also at a reduced cost to the original planned structure. TME have subsequently been appointed design engineers for the remaining stages of the development that are now complete. |
